I wish they had made a Superman's Pal: Jimmy Olsen TV show and cast a young John Ritter.

While I love her hat, and admire her tasteful pearls, why for Heaven's sake, isn't she wearing gloves? They would go so nicely with her ensemble, not to mention protecting her delicate hands from possible damage by flying vase shards.

How tacky.

Ouch. Are you sure there's only 1 way? I'm sure that there are other alternatives to stop the menacing fingers other than smashing the shit out of a vase over Jimmy's head.

But damn. That vase doesn't look like it's made out of crystal or terracotta. It looks like some pretty thick glassware.

Does he get checked out later in the issue for a possible concussion and/or internal hemmoraging in his brain?

sallyp: Whose gloves do you think Jimmy's wearing in the first place? Clearly, the lady wants those bad boys back.

Oddly enough, while I have no idea what's going on in this strip, I'm quite sure the actual plot is more insane and nonsensical than "Jimmy's wearing lady-gloves - and they've gone bad!"

That's, alas, what happens to most comic book geeks when they ask a lady out.

This being the Silver Age, God alone knows what rays those gloves are emanating.

Cosmic radiation? White Kryptonite?

Come to think of it, I think those are The Man From Glad's gloves. With them, Jimmy could clean up any room in the house, in an instant!

Is Suzy Homemaker insane? Jimmy's her ticket to the perfect life!!
